FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN WORK
Terms & Conditions
1. Project Scope
Each project includes a clearly defined scope of work. Any additional requests outside of that scope may require a revised quote or added fees.
Example: If your project includes one label design and later expands into a full product line, I’ll provide an updated estimate before moving forward.
2. Pricing & Payment
A deposit (typically 25–50%) is required to begin work. The remaining balance is due upon completion, before final files are delivered.
Example: For a $1,000 project, a $500 deposit is due upfront, with the remaining $500 due before final files are sent.
3. Revisions
Projects include a set number of revision rounds (outlined in your quote). Additional revisions are always welcome and billed at an hourly rate.
Example: If your project includes 3 rounds of revisions and you’d like further tweaks after that, I’ll continue refining at my hourly rate ($30/ hour).
4. Timeline
Project timelines are estimated and depend on timely feedback and approvals. Delays in communication may shift delivery dates.
Example: If feedback is delayed by a week, the final delivery date will likely shift by a similar amount.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide all necessary content, assets, and feedback in a timely manner to keep the project moving forward.
Providing logos, copy, or product details early helps avoid delays later in the design process.
6. Final Deliverables
Final files will be delivered (via Google Drive) in agreed-upon formats once full payment is received. Source files may be included or available for an additional fee.
You’ll receive print-ready PDFs and/or images; editable design files can be added if needed.
7. Ownership & Usage
Upon full payment, the client receives rights to the final approved design. I retain the right to showcase the work in my portfolio and marketing.
You can use the design across packaging and marketing, and I may feature it on my website or social media.
8. Cancellations
If a project is canceled after work has begun, the initial deposit is non-refundable, and additional completed work will be invoiced.
Example: If the project stops halfway through, the deposit covers time already spent, and any extra work completed will be billed.
9. Communication
Clear, respectful, and timely communication helps ensure the best results. Most communication will be handled via email or an agreed-upon platform.
Consolidating feedback into one message helps keep revisions efficient and accurate.
10. Good Faith
Every project is approached collaboratively, with the goal of creating work both of us are proud of.
Open dialogue and mutual respect lead to the best creative outcomes.
FOR traditional mediums (oil, acrylic, pen and ink, pencil, charcoal...)
Terms & Conditions
1. commission agreement
All work is commissioned based on an agreed concept, size, medium (acrylic, oil, or drawing), and price. This agreement guides the entire process.
Example: A 24x36 oil painting with a single subject and neutral background is quoted and approved before work begins.
2. Deposit
A non-refundable deposit (typically 30–50%) is required to secure your place in the schedule and begin work.
The deposit confirms your commission and ensures your project is reserved in my schedule and prioritized for production
3. Creative Process
Each piece is created in the artist’s established style. While reference images and direction are welcome, the final interpretation remains artistic rather than exact replication.
4. Revisions
Minor adjustments may be made during the early stages (sketch or underpainting). Once the painting progresses, revisions become limited.
Composition tweaks are possible early on, but major changes late in an oil painting are often not feasible.
5. Timeline
Completion timelines vary depending on size, complexity, and medium. Oil paintings require an extended drying time.
A detailed oil painting may take several weeks to complete and fully cure before delivery (depending on size).
6. Approval
Progress images may be shared for approval at key stages. Final approval is given before varnishing, sealing, or shipping.
You’ll review the piece before the final finishing steps are applied.
7. Final Payment & Delivery
The remaining balance is due upon completion. Artwork will be delivered or shipped once full payment is received. Shipping and handling costs are discussed in advance.
The finished painting is packaged and shipped after the final invoice is paid.
8. Ownership & Copyright
Ownership of the physical artwork transfers to the client upon full payment. Copyright and reproduction rights remain with the artist unless otherwise agreed in writing.
You may display or gift the original, while the artist may reproduce the image for prints or portfolio use.
9. Framing & Presentation
Unless otherwise specified, artwork is delivered unframed.
10. Cancellations & Returns
Deposits are non-refundable. Due to the custom nature of commissioned artwork, all sales are final.
11. Care of Artwork
The artist uses professional-grade materials, but proper care is recommended to ensure longevity.
Avoid direct sunlight and extreme humidity to preserve the artwork over time.
